DIY stepping stone for your garden

Add a whimsical touch to your garden with this DIY stepping stone. It’s a creative way to recycle any broken dishes you may have plus it’s easy enough for the grandkids to get involved.

You will need:

How to:

1. Mix concrete with water according to instructions on bag. The consistency should be like a thick batter. If it’s too thick, add a little water until it is right.

2. Grease mould with Vaseline so the stone will come out easily later. Scoop concrete into prepared mould a smooth off surface. Gently tap around the outside of mould to remove any air bubbles. Let sit for at least 30 minutes

3. Wearing rubber gloves, press embellishment into the concreate in the design of your choosing.

4. Dry moulds for at least two days. Mist with water twice a day to prevent cracking. Turnover mould and tap on the back to release. Give the top a coat of varnish. Leave for a week or two before placing in garden.
