Beautiful DIY dyed napkins
If it’s time to add a little colour to your plain white table linens, you should try this beautiful “dye” job that’s easier than you might think.
What you’ll need:
- Cotton napkins
- Fabric paint
- Water
- Flat paint brush
- Something to cover your work surface
Method:
- Soak your napkin in water, and wring out any excess. Lay it out flat on your covered work surface.
- Place a little of your fabric paint in a small bowl, and start to paint in a line across the bottom of the napkin. When you’ve finished a full line, add a few tablespoons of water to the paint and repeat.
- Repeat, gradually lightening the paint as you make your way up the napkin, until you have reached the top, or achieved the desired effect.
- Hang the napkin to dry overnight.
- Once dry, iron the napkin to set the paint.
