3 ways to make your own windscreen washing fluid

If you want to cut down on the number of chemicals you buy, and save some money in the process, why not try making your own windscreen washing fluid?

1. Window cleaner

Simply half fill the compartment in your car with water, then add ¼ cup of window cleaner, then fill up the rest of the compartment with more water to mix it together.

2. Dishwashing liquid

Add a small squirt of dishwashing liquid while you are filling up the compartment.

3. White vinegar

Another option is to add ½ cup white vinegar and a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid to the compartment.

Note: if you decide to make a large amount and store it, why not add a few drops of blue food colouring and clearly label the container so that you know what it is.

Try out the different ideas and see what works best for you.
