Inside the $35 million house Christopher Skase built
Christopher Skase’s lavish Brisbane mansion has sold for over $10 million, with a local hotelier bagging the luxurious Great Gatsby-style estate in a secret deal.
Star Hotel Group boss Steven Shoobridge bagged the one-time home of the disgraced businessmen that was built back in 1988 at a reported cost of $35 million.
News.com.au reports the cashed-up hotelier has snagged quite a property in the deal, which boasts nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms and stunning views.
Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty agent Stephen Weber labelled it, “the most elite residence on the market in Queensland”.
“It represents an extraordinary era in Australian history; a decadent period in Queensland’s past,” Mr Weber said at the time of listing.
