- Look for clues – Pay attention to what people are wearing and checking out when they first arrive. This will help you decipher what they’re on the lookout for.
- Share some history – If there’s a story to tell about a particular item, tell it! Garage sale frequenters usually love hearing all about the unique backstory behind a piece they’re interested in.
- Suggest improvements – If a potential buyer is eyeing off a piece of furniture, try suggesting some simple upgrades like a coat of paint of new fixtures. It might just seal the deal.
