Bride calls out mother for ruining dress reveal
A furious bride has called out her mother for ruining her wedding dress reveal.
Taking to TikTok, Phae shared a video of herself about to exit the room and reveal her wedding dress to her bridesmaids when her mum stepped in front of her.
“Still not over this,” she captioned the video.
“When you have been waiting six months to do a wedding dress reveal and your mother ruins it.”
The video has been viewed more than 20 million times with many sharing their own stories of when their mum or mother-in-law ruined something.
“My mother-in-law was late to our wedding which we didn't realize until the bridesmaids started walking down the aisle and they had to back out,” someone shared.
“She couldn’t wait?” someone asked.
“Exclude all mothers and mother-in-laws from any behind the scenes moments. They ruin it more than the kids do. And they're adults,” another said.
Others however defended the mother saying she was probably trying to enjoy the moment with the bridesmaids.
“She wanted to be in the room helping you but she also wanted the reveal experience with everyone else. Mum was trying her best,” someone pointed out.
“Aww she looks like she was rushing to remove herself from your spot. Unfortunately it’s one of those ‘good intentions don’t count’ moments,” another wrote.
“I think she wanted to be part of their moment too - trying to hurry out of your way to witness it,” someone else commented.
