Melissa George opens up about her bitter custody battle
Melissa George has opened up about the struggles with her bitter custody battle, saying, “I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemies”.
The 41-year-old Australian actress revealed earlier this year on Channel Seven’s Sunday Night that her custody battle with former partner French entrepreneur Jean-David Blanc had turned violent.
She recounted the night in September that left her bruised and bloodied. The night of physical violence saw them both convicted of assault.
The couple are now locked in a bitter custody battle over their children, Raphael and Solal. George has been prevented from leaving France with her children
Speaking to Channel Ten’s The Project on Thursday night, George was asked how life has been since that awful night.
“Day by day. My kids are not here so ... I’m abiding by the rules right now. But it’s day by day. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemies,” she said.
Asked how strong her desire is to have her children back in Australia, she replied: “To have my kids back here? Huge. They’re Australian, so, yeah.”
