Price revealed: War hero Ben Roberts-Smith's Hinterland escape has finally sold

War hero Ben Roberts-Smith has finally been able to sell his stunning Queensland property as he continues to fight against war crime allegations in a damning defamation suit.

Mr Roberts has denied any wrongdoing during his time in Afghanistan or Iraq after an inquiry into the behaviour of elite Australian troops in the Middle East.

The embattled war hero’s breathtaking Queensland hinterland estate can finally say it is sold after the family accepted a $2.16 million offer – a tidy $710,000 gain.

He and his family fell in love with the property for its immense views, stunning landscape and enviable serenity over a decade ago.

“We moved to the Sunshine Coast pursuing a work opportunity and discovered a dream lifestyle in an idyllic setting,” a statement from the family read when they listed the property.

“Unfortunately, due to changes in our employment, lifestyle and our children’s school, the time is right for us to move back to Brisbane and to sell.”

Ray White Buderim agent Kathyrn Willshire said it was “arguable one of the most breathtaking settings” she had ever seen when she took on the sprawling estate.
