Luxury ship stuck in Port Arthur
Luxury cruise ship The World is the world’s largest privately owned residential ship and boasts having 165 cabins.
Despite the expensive cost of travelling on board The World, passengers were delayed in Hobart after the ship’s main anchor chain broke in Port Arthur due to heavy winds.
According to ABC News, the ship was forced to use its starboard anchor and docked at Macquarie Wharf no 2 in Hobart while the anchor was being retrieved.
Due to the bad weather, the retrieval of the eight-tonne anchor was delayed.
Some residents live on board the luxurious ship while others join for stages of the journey as it travels around the globe.
The ship was built in 2012 and has 12 decks, a helicopter pad, two swimming pools, a tennis court and a mini-golf course.
Hopefully this mishap won’t deter passengers choosing to travel with them in the future.
