6 reasons people think cruises are not for them
We spend so much of our live making excuses not to do things that are actually quite enjoyable. Here are six reasons why we think we can’t take a cruise (and why they’re actually wrong). Don’t let these excuses get in the way of your next dream holiday.
1. I don’t have anybody to cruise with
The prospect of an empty cruise cabin is a daunting one, but cruise lines are increasingly catering for solo travellers. And there’s plenty of opportunities to mix and mingle.
2. I’ve never actually left the country
If you’re actually not well acquainted with travel, a cruise is the best way to do it. Food, accommodation and transport is taken care of, in the most luxurious way.
3. I’m scared of getting seasick
While the chance of becoming seasick is a reality of every cruise, by no means should it be a reason not to take the trip. There are so many simple, yet effective measures available.
4. I want a more authentic vacation
Cruise ships are getting more and more creative with their shore excursion offerings, allowing you to enjoy rich cultural experiences along with typical cruise ship luxury.
5. I have medical concerns
Cruising is actually one of the most comfortable ways to explore a foreign country, and there are always qualified medical staff onboard to attend to any medical concerns.
6. I don’t have enough money to go cruising
One of the great advantages of a cruise is the price. Because food, accommodation and transport is taken care of you can end up saving a lot of money.
