Gorgeous secluded beach perfect for snorkelling
A gorgeous secluded beach with crystal clear rock pools has been dubbed the perfect place for swimming and snorkelling.
Bushrangers Bay aquatic reserve is less than a two hour drive from Sydney and is located just south of Shellharbour village.
Tourists are flocking to the breathtaking beach which is shaped like an amphitheatre and protects plant and sea life, which are also hiding in the six metre cliffs.
The Reserve is a sheltered dive site where visitors are welcome to scuba dive, swim, and snorkel among the marine wildlife.
Located at the Heritage-listed Bass Point Reserve, visitors will have to do a bit of a trek to reach Bushrangers Bay.
The coastal walking trail boasts spectacular views of the coastline and the ocean with the chance to see migrating whales when visited between May and November.
The waters also contain six shipwrecks which also serve as homes for grey nurse sharks.
