Rescue monkeys burst bubbles for the first time

In this video we meet a troop of rescue monkeys at Jaguar Rescue Centre in Costa Rica.

And today, they’re in for a real treat.

The owners have arranged for the monkeys to experience bubbles for the first time, and as we can see in the video above they are absolutely captivated by the experience.

As the presenter notes, “It’s this curiosity that makes monkeys so intelligent. They always want to find out what’s going on. And that allows them to learn.”

Some of the monkeys don’t quite know what to make of the bubbles, others seem to get a real kick out of swatting them and making them pop with their hands.

This video was filmed as part of the BBC One program, Nature’s Miracle Orphans.

This is the same program that featured Moyo, the very adorable yet not-entirely-domesticated elephant.
