US submarine breaks through Arctic ice

We’ve heard of breaking the ice, but this is another matter altogether. In this video, a US submarine breaks through a thick sheet of ice and enters the Arctic Circle around Alaska.

The submarine is at Navy Ice Camp Sargo, the US’s temporary Arctic station, to carry out training. The footage is quite dramatic, and it must’ve required a remarkable amount of coordination to pull it off!
