Tiger’s $1 flight sale launches today, but there’s a catch

Tigerair’s “Pay to Go, Come Back for $1” promotion that could see you snag a return flight for the price of a 7/11 coffee starts at midday today, but before you make a snap decision and book your next holiday there’s a couple of things you should know.

First things first, you’re going to want to get in quick.

Just 13,000 tickets are going to be included in the sale, and Tigerair Australia spokesman Joel Dwyer says the airline is expecting them to be snapped up very quickly.

Dwyer told News.com.au, “We are proud to be able to fly more people for less and we’re sure people will grab the opportunity to take an affordable holiday early next year with both hands.”

The other catch? The fares on sale are only available for travel between late January and late March 2018, so you won’t be able to enjoy your $1 flight whenever you want.

And another thing, as you’d imagine the $1 flight doesn’t including optional extras like checked-in baggage and reserved seat selection so if you’re someone who’s used to these perks be prepared to pay extra.
